Its easy to chuck our old used cans into the recycling and let the recycling centre give it a new lease of life, but what if you could upcycle some yourself ?
Although around 75% of waste is recyclable, the world is only currently recycling around 30%, isn't that crazy ?
That being said here is some ideas to give those cans a new purpose !
1. Pop A Plant In Them !
Indoor plants absorb Carbon Dioxide and keep Oxygen flowing through the home making your home free of toxins and purifying the air.
2. Can Knock Down
Who doesnt love a good carnival game ? Get the kids involved and paint the cans crazy colours, stack the cans into the shape of a pyramid and take turns trying to knock all the cans down. Set prizes or maybe the loser has to do the dishes?
3. Craft Holders
We all have those cupboards that could be better organised, here's your chance!
Cans are a great way to store all the kids penicils and craft or even your bits and pieces in the office!
4. Candle Holder
Drill holes in the can creating different shapes so when you pop a candle inside the light can project beautifully around the room. Perfect for those R&R nights in the bath.
5.Sink Organiser
Now you've got the perfect spot for your Carys The World bamboo pot and bottle brush to dry off after uses.
6. Cutlery Caddy
Enjoying a BBQ with the family out the back doesn't mean you have to have your hands full! Glue together 3 to 6 cans and attach a strap of rope or fabric and you have yourself an easy caddy to carry all your cutlery, napkins or even sauces to the table.
7. Herb it up !
Buying packets of herbs over the years can add up not just money wise but also in landfill. Popping your favourite herbs into these cans will not only have the kitchen smelling fresh but your food tasting fresh too.
