Make a DIY face mask
Who doesn’t love a good face mask or even better one that you most likely already have the ingredients for!
Oats are the key ingredient in our little DIY as they are awesome for exfoliating to remove dead skin and not to mention great for acne prone skin too.
Not only will this short but sweet face mask leave your face feeling refreshed and hydrated it will also leave you resting easy knowing there are no hidden nasties in there.
To create mix together:
1/2 Cup plain oatmeal
1 Teaspoon baking powder
2 Teaspoons of water
Run yourself a hot bath
So you’ve got your face mask on, now is the time to run yourself a well-deserved hot bath and soak up all your awesomeness. Put on your favourite unwind or even motivating music and sit and enjoy the tunes! Life is hectic enough why not take a minute or a few hours to indulge yourself. Time to unwind is sometimes all you need to take the stress away from the day. Turn the lights off and light some candles, turn the room into your private oasis, put your phone on silent don’t let the world disturb your relaxation. If your feeling extra indulgent why not plan ahead and get yourself some bath bombs or essential oils.
Read a book
We all have that one book sitting somewhere that we always said we were going to read but haven’t or maybe it’s that cookbook your grandma got you to try to get you to stop having avocado on toast for every meal.
Books can help your learn, discover history or escape reality to a far off distant galaxy. There are a lot of great fictional books out there that cover a massive range of topics, reading fictional books allows you to imagine an alternate reality and connect yourself with the characters. So why not pick your favourite relaxing spot that is nice and peaceful and get caught up with your reading. Pick up that book homie!
Create a vison board
There is no better time than now to create a vision board and see your dreams and goals come to life!
Find some old magazines and cut out quotes, words and photos that inspire you. Attach photos of your goals and dreams for the year if your struggling to find some photos that inspire you, Pinterest is awesome and is full of aesthetically pleasing photos too!
Stick them onto a board, mirror or even a wall and pop it somewhere you see each and everyday to keep you inspired.
Channel your inner Vincent Van Gogh
Painting allows you to express yourself, there is no set requirement for painting so it is one of the best ways to explore your creativity. When you mention painting to some people there instantly get scared thinking that they have to create the next great masterpiece, but you shouldn’t feel constrained if are nervous why not just pick out a few of your favourite colours and just start painting random shapes or get a couple of cans of spray paint and some butchers paper. There are so many different forms of painting there is likely one that will allow you to channel your inner emotions. If all else fails go on YouTube and search “Bob Ross”..
